Why Leeds Homeowners Choose Meridian for Their Worktops
If you are searching for worktops in Leeds, you are likely weighing up which fabricator can actually deliver the finish, fit and timeline you need without surprises along the way. Meridian is a family-run stone specialist based in Pudsey, supplying and fitting granite, quartz, Dekton, quartzite and porcelain worktops across Leeds and the wider Yorkshire region. We handle every stage of the job in-house, from slab selection and laser templating through to fabrication on our own CNC machinery and final installation by our fitting teams.
That control over the process is the reason our customers come back. There is no third party fabricator, no outsourced fitting crew, and no guesswork between stages. The same business that quotes your kitchen also cuts the stone and screws it down.
- Direct accountability if anything needs adjusting
- Quicker template-to-install times than fabricators who outsource
- Honest material advice based on how your kitchen actually gets used
- A physical showroom in Pudsey where you can see full slabs before committing

How the Process Works From Enquiry to Installation
We have refined our process across thousands of installations. Most projects move from quote to installation within three to four weeks, depending on slab availability and your kitchen schedule.
1. Initial Enquiry and Quote
Send through your kitchen plans, or talk us through the layout. We can issue a written quote within 24 to 48 hours based on linear meterage, material, edge profile and any cut-outs. For complex jobs we will book a free site visit.
2. Showroom Visit and Slab Selection
Where possible, we encourage you to visit our Pudsey showroom. You can see full slabs, compare colours under natural and artificial light, and handle samples. For quartz and Dekton, batch consistency means slab viewing is less critical. For granite and quartzite, viewing your actual slab is worth the trip.
3. Laser Templating
Once your base units are installed and level, our templater attends site to take a digital template. This is typically completed within an hour and gives us millimetre-accurate measurements for fabrication. Templating is usually 7 to 10 days before installation.
4. Fabrication
Your worktops are cut, polished and finished on our CNC machinery in Pudsey. Edge profiles are applied, cut-outs are made, and the pieces are quality checked before despatch.
5. Installation
Our fitting team arrives on the agreed date, typically completing a standard kitchen in a single day. Larger projects with islands or complex layouts may take longer. The worktops are sealed, polished and signed off before we leave site.
6. Aftercare
We provide written aftercare guidance specific to your material. For granite, this includes sealing schedules. For quartz and Dekton, it covers everyday cleaning. We remain available for any queries after the install.

Templating happens after your base units are fitted, level and secured. We need the final cabinet positions to take accurate measurements. Templating before unit installation introduces tolerance errors that show up at fitting.
Yes, and we recommend it for natural materials. Visit our Pudsey showroom to view granite and quartzite slabs in full. For quartz and Dekton, batch consistency is high so slab viewing is optional.
Quartz and Dekton both require no sealing and are non-porous. For everyday cleaning, both wipe down with warm soapy water. Dekton has the edge for heat and UV resistance. Quartz has the broader colour range.
